Provident Village’s commitment is brought to life by a leadership team with decades of collective experience in the senior living and senior care industry. Each member of our team is widely recognized for creating innovations in senior living communities that empower residents to thrive.

Dusty Gunn

Executive Director

Dusty has built a strong reputation in the field of Senior Living and is passionate about serving the residents and the families of the communities he leads.
A former full-scholarship Quarterback at Valdosta State University, Dusty has been an effective leader throughout his career. Following his service in the U.S. Coast Guard, Dusty was an economics teacher and valuable member of the football coaching staff at Camden County HS in Kingsland, GA that won back-to-back AAAAA state championships (2008/09) and was named ‘team of the decade’ by the Atlanta Journal Constitution in 2010. As a senior-level healthcare executive, Dusty has won numerous awards for his dedication to Seniors including the ‘Hero’ award from the Georgia Senior Living Association in 2014.
He earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland as well as a Master of Science in Sports Management with extensive post-graduate work in education.

Carol Wisdom

Community Relations Coordinator

With nine years of senior industry experience, Carol brings a strong understanding of senior needs to her position. Her passion for working with those in need to find solutions to improve life’s difficulties has given her a unique aptitude for problem solving, fitting for senior living. Carol has worked professionally as head of development for nonprofit organizations for 17 years, successfully increasing revenues to support growing organizations. Before entering the assisted living industry, Carol worked nine years as the Vice President of Development for MUST Ministries, serving homeless men, women and children and those living in poverty. She currently serves as chair of the development committee on MUST Ministries’ Board of Directors. Her professional knowledge of development and experience working with a variety of community sectors contributes greatly to Provident Village at Canton. “I’m thrilled to be serving as Community Relations Coordinator,” Carol says. “I am looking forward to all the opportunities to help seniors and their families enjoy the best senior living experience we can provide.”

Lorrie Bazzell

Wellness Director

Lorrie joined our community as an LPN, bringing over 30 years of diverse experience in the health care industry. Throughout her career she has provided a high standard of care and served as a liaison between family, patients and physicians, with the ability to deliver mission-critical results.

She is highly skilled in managing comprehensive assessments and care plans, providing in-service training for our care partners, and providing care for residents.  

Lorrie graduated from Pickens Technical Institute as a licensed practicing nurse.
